Volunteer Registration
Welcome Future Scout Leaders. Thank you for making the commitment to volunteer with the Cub Scouts!
Here you'll find a step-by-step guide to registering for Pack 912 as an adult leader and making sure you have a smooth start to your scouting experience. If you have any questions, please send an email to cspack912@gmail.com.
Complete the Youth Protection Training (valid for 2 years). This needs to be completed by all adults before registering as a leader.
Click above to go to the Be A Scout website and register yourself as an adult with the pack. The link will take you to our specific Pack registration. Email your receipt to treasurer@cspack912.com for reimbursement as we do not make the volunteers pay for registration.
Every person, both youth and adult, must have a current health form on file with the Pack. These forms are valid for one year and will be collected at the beginning of the Scout year or when you register.
Plan your meetings for the year and set a calendar to share with your den. Include the date, time, and location of all meetings. Don't forget to add the den meetings to the pack calendar on the parent portal page.
Complete the online Den Leader training at my.scouting.org. This will help you get an idea of running a den. Training does not need to be done before your first meeting but it is helpful. The online training takes about an hour to complete.
All adult leaders can wear the adult uniform. This is optional but highly recommended. Leaders wear the tan shirt with appropriate patches. The best way to get this is from the Council Scout Store as they can help you with the options.
Pack Tshirts are an optional shirt in addition to the uniform. They are considered the "class B" uniform and can be worn at most events.
Log in to Scoutbook and get acquainted with the program. Use this to track advancements that scout complete. This tool is used for awards purchases throughout the scouting year.
